Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Cardiac Catheterization (Cath) Technician, where you'll play a vital role in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. In this energetic and fast-paced environment, you will assist with interventional radiology procedures, cardiac catheterizations, and diagnostic evaluations within a state-of-the-art cath lab. Your expertise will help ensure precise patient care, uphold strict aseptic techniques, and support life-saving interventions in a setting that values innovation and teamwork. Responsibilities Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures by explaining the process and ensuring comfort. Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiology procedures, including vascular access and device placement. Monitor vital signs continuously, assess patient physiology, and respond promptly to any changes during procedures. Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infections and ensure a sterile environment throughout all interventions. Operate diagnostic equipment such as sonography devices for imaging and physiological assessments. Document procedural details accurately, including patient responses, vital signs, and technical data for medical records. Support the cath lab team by verifying patient information, preparing supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience or training in interventional radiology or cardiac catheterization procedures. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and vital signs assessment during procedures. Strong understanding of aseptic technique to maintain sterile fields during invasive interventions. Experience working in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers preferred. Skills in sonography and diagnostic imaging are highly desirable. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team focused on emergency medicine and patient care excellence.
