ASAP Schedule & Contract Details Day Shift | 4x10s Weekend rotation required On-call shifts required Floating within facility/scope may be required Holiday coverage as scheduled First-time travelers welcome Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled CVOR Surgical Technologist for a travel assignment in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will have strong cardiovascular operating room experience, excellent sterile technique, and the ability to support complex surgical procedures including cardiac, vascular, thoracic, robotic, and general surgeries. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient surgical care. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields during operative procedures Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures Anticipate surgeon needs and pass instruments efficiently Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and processing of surgical instruments Perform surgical counts according to facility protocol Prepare operating rooms with required supplies, implants, and equipment Maintain aseptic technique and infection prevention standards Assist with patient positioning, room turnover, and case setup Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment and instrumentation Support emergency and trauma surgical procedures as needed Float within scope of practice based on department needs Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of recent CVOR Surgical Tech experience Active BLS Certification required NBSTSA or NCCT Certification required Experience with Epic charting system required Strong knowledge of sterile processing and surgical instrumentation Ability to work in high-acuity operating room environments Excellent communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications ACLS Certification preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Trauma experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred First assist experience preferred Experience with robotic surgery systems including Da Vinci Xi preferred Surgical Specialties & ProceduresCardiovascular / CVOR CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft)
