1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience for a cardiac cath lab position requiring RCIS, RCES, or ARRT CV certification and hands-on experience with GE Discovery, IABP, and Impella. Details Acute care hospital cardiac cath lab setting with 3 procedure rooms and 5 beds Adult to geriatric patient population with an average daily census of 8-10 patients Procedures include diagnostic cath, PCI, orbital atherectomy, IABP, Impella, and device implants — no EP studies or ablations Experience with GE Discovery, IABP, and Impella required
EMR:
Epic (required), Merge (preferred); also uses Pyxis and SBAR 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Every other weekend required Approximately 10 call days per month Floating within the department, facility, and potentially to a sister campus Requirements Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required Current BLS and ACLS required RCIS, RCES, or ARRT (CV) certification required Experience with EKG interpretation, obtaining vitals, and rhythm interpretation required; sinus node rhythm interpretation required; pacemaker experience preferred Proficiency with GE Discovery, IABP, and CSI (orbital atherectomy) equipment required Epic EMR experience required License required if applicable Copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Additional Information Scrubs are provided by the facility RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day Travelers who have previously worked at any facility in this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler Local candidates are accepted at the same rate No alternate shifts or special scheduling requests are permitted — the posted shift is firm
