Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced CVOR Tech to deliver high-quality perioperative care alongside a dynamic surgical team. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in high-acuity environments and are comfortable supporting cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), preferably with CVOR specialization Minimum of one year of recent experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting Proficient understanding of sterile techniques and surgical instrumentation specific to cardiovascular procedures Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs during complex operations Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Familiarity with EMR systems and thorough documentation practices
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for cardiovascular cases Collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses, and anesthesia providers throughout all phases of surgery Monitor and maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control standards Assist with patient positioning, draping, and surgical counts to uphold procedural accuracy Respond quickly to intraoperative changes and effectively adapt in fast-paced scenarios Maintain accurate surgical records and assist with room turnover and restocking This role offers the chance to deliver essential support in complex, life-saving procedures while expanding your experience in a respected clinical environment.
