Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Travel Immerse yourself in the vibrant community of Belvidere, IL—an inviting destination with a unique blend of small-town charm and easy access to outdoor adventures, lively arts, and museums. As a travel Imaging Cath Lab Tech, you'll enjoy the chance to discover the scenic beauty and culture of the Midwest, all while advancing your career in an engaging, fast-paced setting. This travel opportunity places you at the forefront of specialized imaging for cardiovascular and interventional procedures, expanding your expertise across Interventional Cardiology, Neurology, Radiology, and Electrophysiology. You'll collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team in a Level 1 Trauma Center, learning new workplace practices and leadership approaches that enrich your professional journey and strengthen your resume with sought-after skills.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift On-call rotation (weeknights, weekends, holidays)
Key Responsibilities:
Verify patient identification, consent forms, allergy, and contrast reaction histories Prepare and ensure sterility of procedural supplies and equipment Monitor and record vital signs before, during, and after procedures Aid physicians in selecting and administering medications and contrast agents Maintain safety protocols for biohazardous materials and radiation exposure Operate and calibrate imaging equipment; optimize image quality with enhancement techniques Acquire, process digital images, and assist with 3D reconstructions and ultrasound guidance Document procedural data, complications, and post-procedural care Provide patient care following procedures, including application of vascular closure devices and instructing students and colleagues
Desired Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited radiology program Current
IEMA-DNS
radiography accreditation Valid ARRT(R), ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) certification BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications NIHSS certification Prior experience in a Level I Trauma setting and comprehensive cath lab/interventional radiology skills
