Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract Step into a vital role as a professional imaging specialist with a focus on cardiac catheterization procedures in a dynamic healthcare environment. This contract opportunity involves supporting physicians and medical teams with high-quality imaging services in the cath lab, playing an essential part in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in radiologic technology or cardiovascular technology. Valid certification as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS or ARRT preferred). Prior experience working in a cath lab setting; strong familiarity with imaging equipment and sterile technique. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Ability to remain composed while delivering accurate results in fast-paced, high-pressure situations. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with clinical staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate advanced cath lab imaging equipment during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures. Assist the healthcare team in the preparation, monitoring, and care of patients throughout invasive cardiac procedures. Ensure optimal operation and maintenance of imaging devices, reporting any issues promptly. Maintain sterile fields and adhere to all infection control protocols. Accurately document patient data, procedural findings, and imaging records. Support inventory management for supplies related to imaging and catheters.
