1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience and ARRT certification for a cardiac and interventional radiology position requiring IEMA licensure and
BLS/ACLS.
Details Work in an Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting Procedures include biopsies, CVC, PICC, tunneled HD catheters, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, and embolizations Cath lab procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, IABP, IVUS, and Impella support Equipment includes Siemens C-arm (single and bi-plane) and GE ultrasound EMR system is Epic; Omnicell experience is also used 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Weekend coverage required On-call required with a 30-minute response time; weekday call is based on a 13.5-hour block and scheduled in rotation with other team members May be required to float to a different unit or facility upon manager's request Requirements Minimum of 1 year of IR/Cath Lab experience required; 2+ years preferred, ideally in an active interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP lab Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences required; Bachelor of Science degree preferred Current ARRT certification required IEMA licensure required (IL license must be in hand; no emergency or pending licensure accepted) BLS through AHA required ACLS through AHA required within 6 months of hire Experience with Epic and Omnicell required License required if applicable Additional Information Perform a broad range of IR and cath lab procedures including vascular interventions, image-guided drains and catheters, and cardiac support device management Two professional references required, including at least one from a supervisor, manager, or charge RN within the last year All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration and cannot be added afterward Vaccination status must be provided Candidates living within 75 miles of the facility are accepted but may be subject to a local pay rate First-time travelers are not specifically excluded, but 1+ year of relevant experience is required
