ChristianaCare's Union Hospital is currently recruiting for a Full-Time Cardiovascular Technician
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Responsible for performing stress tests and cardiac monitoring for the Cardiac Diagnostic Centers. Responsible for holter monitor analysis.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Explains procedures to patient Properly preps patient for stress testing and accurately records the patient health record Performs stress testing Monitor the patient's blood pressure during exercise and recovery Performs EKGs Performs holter, ambulatory BP monitor and 30 day event monitors including proper prep and instruction to the patient Downloads all holters and ambulatory BP monitors Performs analysis on holter and 24 hour BP monitors Prepares reports for interpreting physician using the Ascend digital reporting system Clean and restock rooms after use. Rotates to all Cardiac Diagnostic centers at the manager's discretion Performs other related duties as required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REOUIREMENTS
High school graduate or its equivalent. Two years clinical experience including arrhythmia recognition skills. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
KNOWLEDGE. SKILL. AND ABILITY REOUIREMENTS
Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge, skills, and abilities relating to adult and geriatric patient care. Knowledge, skills and abilities related to performance of EKG's and stress monitoring. Knowledge, skills and abilities related to proper application and instruction to holter monitors, 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitors, and 30-day event monitors. Knowledge, skills and abilities related to scanning holter and 24 hour BP monitors. Knowledge of arrhythmia recognition. Knowledge of and ability to abide by departmental standards, procedures, protocols, policies and guidelines. Ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to act independently within established procedures and protocols, Ability to be efficient, able to organize, and prioritize work assignments. Exercises judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
SCHEDULE
Shift - 7:30a to 4p and some evenings. Full-Time Flex (36hrs weekly) Call on Sat every 3rd week (7a-11a) Union is home base but may rotate to other locations.

Hourly Pay Range:
$22.29 - $33.44 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
