Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract Advance your career supporting critical cardiovascular procedures in a cutting-edge environment. This contract opportunity calls for a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to play a vital role in assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures alongside a dedicated medical team.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current certification or registry as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS or ARRT highly preferred) Proven experience as a Cath Lab Tech, with expertise in operating imaging equipment for cardiac procedures Comprehensive understanding of sterile technique, vascular access, and interventional cardiac technology Proficiency in monitoring patient status and documenting procedural data Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborative, fast-paced healthcare settings Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and other interventional procedures Operate specialized imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy and digital angiography systems Maintain stringent adherence to aseptic and safety protocols Monitor and record patient vitals, procedural times, and radiation safety data Set up and prepare equipment, tables, and instruments before procedures; ensure proper sterilization and maintenance Provide patient education, pre-procedure preparation, and post-procedure care in collaboration with nursing staff Participate actively in quality assurance processes and continuous department improvement
