Job Description

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Highly skilled Cath Lab Technologists are sought for a contract opportunity in Baton Rouge, LA, specializing in advanced cardiac, peripheral, vascular, electrophysiology (EP), and interventional radiology (IR) procedures. This role requires a confident, independent operator with a strong patient-centered approach and ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum 2 years Cath Lab experience; first-time travelers not accepted
Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, ARRT
(R), and LSRTBE state license (temporary license application required within 48 hours of contract signing; approval in approx. 14 days) Expertise in embolization, coiling, ablations, implants (ports, pacemakers, ICDs) Skilled with advanced devices: Impella, IABP, IVUS, Shockwave, Rotoblator, laser, thrombectomy Proficient in STEMI care focusing on first-to-balloon/door-to-balloon (FTB/DTB) under 60 minutes Experience performing peripheral and EP procedures Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a patient-first mindset
Role Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of complex catheterization and interventional procedures using state-of-the-art equipment (Siemens and Canon imaging systems) Independently manage workload safely and efficiently with an average daily census of 6 cases Participate in weekend coverage every other weekend and weekday call rotations (response time within 30 minutes) Support the STEMI Code team, contributing to top-tier door-to-balloon times Adhere to emergency assignment protocols as required by the unit manager
Schedule Details:
Day shift, 5 days a week, 8-10 hour shifts (typical schedule 06:45-15:15) Weekend and weekday on-call rotations as described
