About the Role We are seeking an experienced Lead Surgical Technologist
  • Cardiac/Vascular to join our perioperative team.
In this role, you will work under the supervision of the surgeon and collaborate closely with nurses and multidisciplinary team members. You will serve as a key resource in the operating room while also supporting coordination, workflow efficiency and team leadership within your specialty. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain operating room setup for surgical procedures Ensure proper setup of instruments, supplies and equipment while maintaining sterile conditions Monitor equipment and instrumentation during procedures and escalate issues as needed Support on-time OR starts and efficient turnovers Coordinate staff coverage for breaks and lunches when needed Serve as scrub staff as required to support operations Oversee case cart accuracy and review next-day cases for readiness Participate in daily huddles with CPD, vendors and surgical teams
  • Collaborate with surgeons and leadership to maintain and update preference cards
  • Support CPD initiatives to improve workflows and processes
  • Ensure proper sterilization, inspection and functionality of instruments and equipment
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation of surgical supplies
  • Assist in training and mentoring surgical technologists
  • Support instrument kit optimization initiatives
  • Act as a resource for troubleshooting equipment and procedural challenges
  • Assist surgeons within scope of practice Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent (required) Certifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) (required) Experience 3-5 years of experience as a surgical technologist (required)
