Key Qualifications:
Current ARRT or RCIS certification required Proven experience working as a Cath Lab Technologist Proficiency with cardiac catheterization procedures and related imaging equipment Ability to operate imaging modalities and ensure high-quality diagnostic images Detailed understanding of sterile techniques and radiation safety guidelines Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and other interventional procedures Operate and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment during diagnostic and interventional exams Support cardiologists during procedures by anticipating needs and ensuring accurate image capture Educate patients and families regarding procedures, workflow, and post-procedure expectations Maintain rigorous adherence to safety, infection control, and procedural protocols Accurately document procedures and patient data within the electronic medical record system Participate in quality assurance initiatives and ongoing professional education This contract opportunity offers a professional environment with exposure to cutting-edge cardiology procedures and the chance to collaborate with experts in the field.
