Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Embark on a specialized healthcare opportunity supporting surgical excellence as a CVOR Tech. In this contract position, you will play a vital role in the operating room, assisting with preparation and intraoperative care for cardiovascular surgical patients.
Key Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited CVOR Tech or Surgical Technologist program Certification in Surgical Technology (CST) or equivalent, preferred Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting, strongly desired In-depth understanding of sterile field, instrumentation, and OR protocols Ability to anticipate surgeon's needs during cardiac cases Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset BLS certification required

Schedule/hours as communicated by the hiring team
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the sterile field for cardiac surgical procedures Select, prepare, and manage surgical instruments and supplies Assist the surgical team by handing instruments, sponges, and other sterile supplies during procedures Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments throughout cases Provide attentive pre-operative and post-operative support to the surgical team Follow all infection control and hospital protocols to ensure patient and staff safety Support efficiency in the operating room by anticipating needs and troubleshooting equipment Ensure clear and effective communication with all members of the surgical and anesthesia teams
