Key Qualifications:

Proficient in cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology Advanced understanding of ECG, including waveform morphology and interpretation of arrhythmias ACLS certification and competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac medications (generic/trade names, pharmacokinetics) Experience documenting and monitoring cardiac catheter procedures and interventions Comfort with operating and troubleshooting extraction devices (e.g., angiojet, rotoblator, laser) Ability to interpret hemodynamic parameters and cardiac pressure waveforms Familiarity with supplies and steps required for diagnostic cardiac catheterizations Competence in training, staff orientation, and participating in special projects or committees

Clinical Responsibilities:

Monitor diagnostic cardiac catheter procedures and intervene per ACLS standards Document medications, dosages, and indications precisely Record catheterization events and perform ACT, cardiac outputs, O2 saturation measurements Recognize and respond to laboratory abnormalities (ABGs, electrolytes) Assist with intravascular imaging and electrophysiologic studies, and identify pacemaker/ICD applications Set up procedural tables and ensure supply readiness Maintain the highest standards of medical ethics
