Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced professional to step into the role of CVOR Tech, working alongside a highly skilled clinical team in a dynamic cardiovascular operating room setting. This opportunity allows you to utilize specialized knowledge and support advanced surgical procedures within a collaborative environment.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent training as a CVOR Tech Previous experience as a CVOR Tech or in a cardiovascular surgical setting strongly preferred Current certification (CST or equivalent) required Familiarity with complex cardiovascular procedures and surgical instrumentation Ability to work efficiently and calmly in high-pressure environments Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain all cardiovascular surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile fields Assist surgeons and operating room staff during a range of cardiovascular procedures Ensure accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Collaborate closely with circulating nurses and the wider surgical team for optimal patient outcomes Monitor and respond to evolving needs of the surgical team throughout procedures Contribute to post-operative care by managing instruments and reporting any inconsistencies or issues This contract role offers the chance to make a tangible impact in a state-of-the-art cardiovascular surgical environment.
