If you are a Perfusionist looking for an opportunity to work with an amazing team of 14 adult perfusionists in a practice that spans both academic and community hospital settings, then look no further. Not only do we have a great team, we have a group of supportive and collegial surgeons that make our work even that more enjoyable!
In This Role, You Will:
Provide case coverage for 10 surgeons (and growing) primarily at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Centerand also M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital Handle predominantly adult bypass cases (including on-pump Cabs, Valves, minimally invasive valves, heart and lung transplants, complex aortic reconstruction, adult congenital, and VADs) Cover ECMO including initiations/transports from outside hospitals, excluding bedside management Handle other procedures including liver transplants, HIPEC, AngioVacs, and more Train future Perfusionists by clinically precepting students from various programs including UNMC and several others
Schedule:
1.0 FTE Variable schedule, in house hospital coverage from 7am-5pm Monday-Friday Call one day per week (Mon-Thurs) and one weekend per month (Fri-Sun) Need to be able to respond to University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis within 30 minutes while on call We're Looking For a
Perfusionist Who Is:
Hard-working, has a positive attitude, and a desire to be a team-player. Willing to contribute to the growth and development of the team and has the ability to problem-solve and develop creative solutions to day-to-day challenges. Graduate of an Accredited Cardiovascular Perfusion Technology Program. Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion or board eligible. Certified in BLS.
