1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience performing a full range of IR and neuro procedures in an inpatient hospital setting. Details Inpatient hospital Interventional Radiology unit serving a majority adult and geriatric patient population, with some adolescents Procedures include stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies including stroke intervention Daily caseload of 13-17 cases Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment in use; Acuson preferred EMR systems include Epic and McKesson (both preferred) Day shift, 3x10-hour shifts with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM On-call rotation shared with team members: primary call approximately once every 4 weeks and every 5th-6th weekend; backup call approximately 7 days (including a weekend) every 9 weeks Weekends and evenings/nights required as part of on-call rotation No float requirement Requirements Minimum of 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience; first-time travelers will not be considered Current BLS and ARRT certification required; license required if applicable ARRT Advanced Certification preferred Proficiency with PACS and contrast administration required Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment required Neuro IR experience required, including stroke intervention Inpatient hospital experience required Two professional references from a manager or supervisor within the past 2 years are highly preferred (pending references are acceptable at time of consideration but required prior to start) Additional Information Orientation takes place during the first week; candidates must be available for in-person classes each day during orientation week Approximately 8-10 hours of pre-start online modules are required for this acute care role; modules must also be completed annually Scrubs are provided Candidates must be prepared to work 2 out of 3 major holidays No RTO is permitted during the first week of assignment due to orientation; up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved if it does not fall on a holiday, and additional RTO requires facility approval Any previous permanent, PRN, or EP staff employee of this health system must wait 12 months before being considered as a traveler; facility rehire approval is required Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible to apply but may be subject to a different pay rate Travel pairs are allowed; each traveler must have their own transportation and be comfortable with potentially different schedules This is a 13-week minimum contract; candidates open to a longer assignment are encouraged to indicate their interestSimilar jobs in Winston-Salem, NC
