Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. As a member of this team, the Patient Care Associate provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes. The Ambulatory Care Center treats a patient population within the full range of cardiovascular conditions. Patients see physicians for examination and counseling. Cardiovascular testing and treatments are also provided. Position Summary The Patient Care Associate is responsible for providing a variety of direct and indirect patient care activities as supervised and directed by the Registered Nurse. Care is provided in collaboration with the patient, family and other members of the care team. Overall responsibilities are to assist the team in meeting patient care needs and facilitating patient throughput. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred; Previous patient care experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred; Strong customer service, organizational and time management skills; Successful completion of PCA training course required after hire.
