The Cardiac Technician assists a trained, credentialed cardiology attending during all procedures. He/she is responsible for accurately performing the following procedures: all forms of stress testing, Holter application and removal, Holter scanning and ECG.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Graduate of a cardiac technical program or equivalent. Satisfactory completion of cardiac arrythmia course within 90 days of hire. Satisfactory completion of cardiac arrhythmia course. Basic understanding of cardiac disease and advanced understanding of arrhythmias. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1 year of prior experience in non-invasive cardiac procedures.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
Maintains American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification.
