Newark, NJ Job Details Full-time 1 hour ago Qualifications BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Collecting samples for laboratory testing Basic life support Full Job Description The primary purpose of the Patient Care Technician (Certified) (Inpatient) position is to be responsible for the delivery of safe, quality patient/family focused care and services under the direction of a Professional Registered Nurse. The Patient Care Technician (Certified) is a member of a designated care team and collaborates with team members in achieving goals. Patient care is provided congruent with the patient/family developmental stage and cultural expectations. The competent practice of the Patient Care Technician is evidenced by patient/family goal achievement, patient safety, patient/family satisfaction, and care and services that are thoroughly documented as dictated by policy and procedure. The Patient Care Technician (Certified) conducts her/himself according to the behavioral expectations articulated for this role. Certified as a Patient Care Technician by National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or equivalent. Ability to read and write English. Ability to lift/move patients with or without reasonable accommodations. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to organize the activities of multiple patients. High School graduate or equivalent.
