Job Description

Newton Medical Center is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist to perform EKG, EEG, nuclear and non-nuclear stress tests (under the supervision of qualified physician or APP), and other duties as per department needs. Required hours vary including rotating weekends.
Starting rate:
$28.87/hour
Essential Functions:
Perform diagnostic quality ECG for inpatient and outpatient. Perform diagnostic quality cardiac exercise stress testing procedures including regular treadmill exercise stress test, nuclear and other pharmacologic stress tests. Understanding of all aspects of stress testing protocols. Monitor and communicate ECG readings with the physician or NP. Downloading and processing ECG reports. Performs EEG in accordance to established practice, procedures and AHS protocols. Records EEG and consults with neurologist to determine technical factors to satisfy requirements.
Qualifications/Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English. BLS certification required. CCI certification Preferred Excellent customer service skills essential. Flexible and adaptable in working with coworkers and management to meet the collective needs of patients and physicians.
Relevant Experience:
Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program strongly preferred. Prior experience with job requirement strongly preferred. #LI-AM1
