This travel assignment is based in Paterson, NJ, offering an opportunity for hands-on experience with advanced cardiovascular technologies and patient care protocols. Responsibilities Prepare sterile trays and organize equipment specific to each procedure Prepare patients pre-procedure, including EKG lead placement, skin prep, and draping Assist nurses in patient monitoring setup and support physicians throughout procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, and stent insertions Calibrate and test equipment for accurate hemodynamic readings Operate power injectors and manage digital cine technology for image acquisition and storage Support emergency interventions and assist with vascular closure device insertion Manage inventory levels for non-store room supplies and assist in equipment maintenance and calibration Ensure patient-centered care by addressing specific needs regarding age, culture, language, and sensory impairments Maintain compliance with organizational standards and safety protocols Desired Qualifications and Experience Proven experience as a Cardiovascular Tech or Cath Lab Tech with proficiency in diagnostic and interventional procedures Ability to lift minimum 40 lbs., push/pull 100 lbs., and stand for extended periods Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and related medical equipment Excellent communication skills tailored to diverse patient populations Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments, including emergency situations This is a travel position that offers a dynamic work environment with exposure to cutting-edge cardiovascular technology.
