Job Details The Echocardiography Technologist performs complete echocardiographic examinations including M-mode, two-dimension and Doppler Echocardiography on clinical and/or research patients. Assists the Cardiologist, Fellows or other appropriate personnel in performing trans esophageal echocardiographic and stress echocardiographic examinations. He/she may also assist in coordinating efficient patient flow, staff assignments, educational support and highest quality procedures consistent with IAC standards for Echocardiography. • 2D, M-mode, color Doppler according to department policy to comply with physician orders/standard of care.

Performs trans-esophageal echocardiograms (TEE) on non-operative/intra-operative basis according to department policy to comply with physician orders/standard of care. Performs dobutamine stress echocardiograms (DSE), Stress Echocardiograms according to department policy to comply with physician orders/standards of care. Logs all pertinent patient/test data to ensure accurate billing/record keeping for the hospital and department. Monitors performance/repair of clinical equipment to ensure the quality of all testing and the safety of staff and internal/external customers. Maintains images in EHR Cleans/disinfects/sterilizes clinical equipment to ensure staff and internal/external customer safety from pathogens. Participates in on call as per department policy.
