Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic medical environment where your expertise in Imaging makes a significant impact. This contract role is ideal for professionals skilled as Cath Lab Techs, X-ray Technologists, Radiologic Technologists, or IR Techs, who are looking for an opportunity to expand their experience in a collaborative setting.
Key Qualifications:
Valid credentialing as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent), with additional certifications as needed for Cath Lab or IR specialties Previous experience working in Cath Lab, IR, or X-ray imaging environments Proficiency operating imaging equipment and knowledge of related safety standards Strong understanding of advanced imaging procedures, including angiography, cardiac catheterization, and interventional radiology protocols A high level of attention to detail and capability to follow physicians' instructions precisely Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, multidisciplinary teams Current BLS certification (required); ACLS preferred
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare, position, and monitor patients during diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures Operate and maintain imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images Assist physicians during catheterizations, diagnostic studies, and minimally invasive interventional procedures Adhere strictly to infection control and patient safety protocols Document and report procedure details as per regulatory and facility guidelines Educate and comfort patients before, during, and after procedures Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
