Full Job Description Title:

Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS)

Job Location:

New York, NY 10025

Duration:

13 weeks

Shift:

Day Shift, 3x11.5, 9:00am

• 9:00pm

GH:

36hrs

Pay:

$58

• $68/hr

Responsibilities:

Monitor patient blood pressures and intracardiac pressures during cardiac catheterization procedures, informing physicians of any changes from baseline. Record all procedure events via the Cardiac Cath Lab computer, calibrate and operate equipment including A-Vox, Cardiac Output, and ACT, and supply physicians with catheters, wires, balloons, and stents. Set up and calibrate the intra-aortic balloon pump, fine-tune timing with the physician, and monitor the pump until patient transfer to CCU, OR, or CSICU. Assist in emergency situations by performing resuscitation measures including operating defibrillator, external pacemaker, suctioning, and artificial resuscitation. Maintain sterile field, operate power injector for dye contrast injections, and assist with new technologies such as Flow wire, ultrasound, and rotablator.

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED (minimum)

Required Certifications & Licensure:

RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) required

Required Skills & Experience:

MS Office Suite Excellent organizational skills Experience monitoring intracardiac pressures Experience operating A-Vox, Cardiac Output, ACT equipment Ability to perform resuscitation measures (defibrillator, external pacemaker, suctioning) Ability to set up sterile field and operate power injector Ability to maintain intra-aortic balloon pump English (Speak, Read, Write) Experience with Flow wire, ultrasound, rotablator preferred but not required For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
