Echocardiography Sonographer Technician

NFMMC is seeking a full time Credentialed Echocardiography Sonographer to join our team!

Main Function:

To provide echocardiogram diagnostic testing in any or all areas the department serves. The treatment will be documented and communicated with the patient's MD and all the necessary members of the multidisciplinary care team.

Job Duties:

Sets up and operates requried echocardiograohy equipment including Transesophael echocardiography and stress testing equipment. Monitros Patient response to testing and adjusts the treatment procedure as needed. Administers chosen treatment according to established guidlines Performs Cardiology department testing such as routine and special echocardiography Doppler, M-mode and color flow, Transesophagael echocardiogram and stress recording. Prepares patient for testing and delivers tes results for Physician interpretation. Maintaines department eqiupment in worked order. Education and Licensure High School Diploma or GED, Graduate from an accredited Cardiac Diagnostic Technician and Cardiac Sonographer Program Current NYS Echocardiography Sonographer Certification, Credentialing Echocardiography SOnographer certificate from an ICAEL approved credentialing body.
