Cardiovascular Operating Room Surgical Technologist (CVOR Surgical Tech)
Location:
Rochester, NY Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Surgical Technologist for a contract opportunity in a high-volume surgical environment. This role supports cardiovascular and other surgical specialties while ensuring efficient and safe operative procedures.
Job Details July Start Shift:
4x10s (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) First-Time Travelers Accepted Local Candidates Not Accepted (must reside more than 75 miles from the facility)
On-Call Requirement:
1 call shift per week 1 weekend of call per month Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile supplies for cardiovascular surgical procedures. Assist surgeons and the surgical team during operative cases. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards. Anticipate surgical needs and provide instrumentation efficiently throughout procedures. Perform surgical counts and assist with room turnover between cases. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Required Experience Recent Surgical Technologist experience required. Cardiovascular OR experience preferred. Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile processing, and operative procedures. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
