Position Summary The Perfusionist operates the extracorporeal circulation equipment during any medical situation where it is necessary to support or replace a person's cardiopulmonary, circulatory, or respiratory function. The Perfusionist is responsible for the selection of appropriate equipment and techniques necessary for support, treatment, measurement, or supplementation of the cardiopulmonary and circulatory system of a patient, including the safe monitoring, analysis, and treatment of physiologic conditions under an order and under the supervision of a physician. Position Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program

• OR•currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular perfusion education program with an anticipated graduation prior to the date of the examination•OR•admitted to the examination process before April 15, 1981•OR•previously certified by the ABCP.

Certification/Licensure CCP:

Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start

BLS:
