Full Job Description Job Title:
Cath Lab Technologist (Travel)•26
Week Contract Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a travel assignment at a busy acute care hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong scrub experience and be comfortable assisting with complex interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Assignment Details:
Contract Length:
26 weeks (with possible extensions)
Start Date:
ASAP (Monday start dates available)
Schedule:
4x10-hour day shifts Monday•Friday 7:00 AM•5:30 PM Approximately one weeknight per week One weekend every 3 to 4 weeks
Responsibilities:
Scrub and assist physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures Serve as first assistant during complex interventional procedures Prepare and maintain sterile field Set up and operate cath lab equipment Prepare patient access sites Circulate procedures as needed Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias Stock supplies and maintain equipment Utilize PACS and other imaging systems
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience Recent scrub experience required ARRT (R) BLS Certification ACLS Certification Active Oregon Radiologic Technologist license (or proof of application and fingerprinting at time of submission)
Required Experience:
Adult diagnostic catheterizations Cardiac stent placement Left and right heart catheterization Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) IABP placement/removal Impella insertion Temporary pacemaker procedures Pulmonary artery line insertion Rotational atherectomy Interpretation of cardiac dysrhythmias Sterile technique Equipment setup and procedural support Manifold system experience (non-Acist)
Preferred Experience:
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Intravascular imaging Shockwave procedures Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) interventions Drug-coated balloon procedures Permanent pacemaker insertion Laser-assisted procedures Pediatric diagnostic catheterizations ECMO Neuro IR scrub experience Philips imaging systems Ultrasound-guided procedures Interventional Radiology experience
Work Environment:
Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab Adults and Geriatric patient population Modern multi-room cardiac catheterization department State-of-the-art imaging equipment
Additional Information:
Travelers should be flexible to float within the health system as needed. Maximum of 7 requested days off. No requested time off during the first two weeks of the assignment. One recent professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager is required. Compliance requirements, onboarding modules, and competency assessments must be completed prior to the assignment. Candidates must successfully meet all onboarding and background screening requirements.
