Qualifications:

Certification as a CVOR Tech or completion of a relevant accredited program Previous experience assisting in cardiovascular operating rooms required Comprehensive understanding of aseptic technique, sterile field maintenance, and surgical instrumentation Ability to function effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure situations Strong communication skills and an ability to coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms and ensure availability and sterility of supplies and equipment Assist surgical team throughout cardiovascular procedures, anticipating needs and efficiently passing instruments Monitor and maintain the sterile field, swiftly addressing contamination risks Operate and troubleshoot specialized cardiovascular equipment as directed Accurately handle, count, and document instruments and supplies before, during, and after surgery Collaborate with perioperative team members to support patient safety and positive surgical outcomes Participate in ongoing quality assurance and infection control initiatives Benefit from professional development, exposure to advanced cardiovascular procedures, and the ability to expand your surgical expertise.
