1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer with 2+ years of experience and proficiency in complex congenital heart defects for a 13-week travel assignment. Details Pediatric cardiology/echo department within a children's hospital setting Daily caseload of 4-10 studies per tech Pediatric patient population with complex congenital heart disease cases Staggered day shifts, Monday through Friday, with start times ranging from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM (8-hour shifts) No weekend or on-call requirements No holidays required Position requires floating between the children's hospital and a North Charleston clinic location Epic EMR used; experience preferred Requirements Minimum of 2 years of echo/cardiac sonography experience ARDMS registration with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) certification, OR CCI with RCCS certification — all certifications must be in hand at time of start Pending state license may be accepted; license required if applicable Current BLS (AHA only) Proficiency in scanning pediatric echocardiograms and extensive knowledge of complex congenital heart disease and defects required Experience with GE Vivid 95 and PACS system, including full report entry, preferred SSN and Driver's License required for consideration Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are accepted for this position Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler Local candidates living within 60 miles of the facility may be considered on a case-by-case basis; non-local candidates are prioritized All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date All staff and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams; travelers should be aware that hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August and September
