Category Perfusionist Job Type Contract A dynamic healthcare setting is seeking a qualified Perfusionist to deliver expert cardiac support as part of a specialized team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate precision, in-depth clinical knowledge, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.
Key Qualifications:
Current certification as a Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) or eligibility to obtain Proven experience operating heart-lung machines and all perfusion technology Demonstrated expertise in adult and pediatric cardiopulmonary bypass procedures Comprehensive understanding of extracorporeal circulation, blood conservation, and transfusion techniques Excellent decision-making and communication skills in high-pressure surgical environments Ability to collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and operate cardiopulmonary bypass, autotransfusion, and ventricular assist devices during cardiac and other surgical procedures Calculate and administer appropriate perfusion parameters, including blood flow, gas exchange, and temperature regulation Monitor patient vital signs and adapt techniques as necessary throughout procedures Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and all safety standards Maintain and test perfusion equipment to ensure optimal performance Accurately document all aspects of perfusion care per standard operating procedures This contract opportunity provides a chance to work with cutting-edge technology and support critical surgical interventions.
