Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Echo Technician to join our diagnostic department. The Echo Technician will perform diagnostic echocardiograms and EKGs on our patients on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and experienced in cardiac ultrasound diagnostic. Patients will be seen in person, at an offsite facility, office, or a doctor's office for the echocardiogram and EKG diagnostic testing. Sonographer will have access to upload into a PAC system once test is completed. The sonographer should be willing to travel to the Houston, Texas, Austin, Texas and Dallas, Texas areas. Travel incentive (61 miles or over) included which will be extra.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) Prepare patients for exams and explain procedure clearly and professionally Obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout procedures

Qualifications:

Current RDCS or RCS certification preferred BLS/CPR certification required Minimum 1-2 years of echocardiography experience preferred Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and in efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Schedule and Frequency:

Per diem

• and as needed.

Volume :

5-10 patients per assignment.

Location and Sites:

Patients will be seen in person, at an offsite facility, or a doctor's office for the echocardiogram and EKG diagnostic testing.

Credentialing :

Credentialing usually involves an interview, checking of documentation and references upon selection after the interview.

Training :

After credentialing is complete, the selected Echocardiographer candidate will be trained on our PAC system and uploading results.

Completion of charting/addendums:

All diagnostic results needs same day and timely uploads into our PAC system for our Cardiologist to interpret the diagnostics tests on time. Step 1-Items Needed to
