Bonus Potential Summary/Objective The Lead Cardiovascular Technologist is responsible for the provision of radiological services of a highly specialized nature to patients in the Cardiac Cath Lab in accordance with physicians' orders. The Lead Cardiovascular Technologist provides for patient safety and high quality testing. The position will help train and educate Cardiovascular Technologist as well as fill in for when Chief Cardiovascular Technologist is not available. Essential Job Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assists physicians in the administration of Cardiac Cath Lab examinations within scope of practice of Technologist and maintains safety precautions to minimize radiation exposure to patients, other personnel, and self. Performs lab restarts and Stand test when necessary. Ensures departmental temp and humidity logs are maintained and turned in on a timely basis. Participates in rotating call system as needed to provide continuous availability of services. Lead training on new staff and ensuring education is set up on new devices, by setting up in-services. Assists Chief Technologist in staffing and inventory management. Required Education and Experience Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program 1-3 years of related experience Required License/Certifications ARRT Certification and TMB or RCIS on hire BLS Certification within 30 days of hire ACLS Certification within one year of hire
