Cath Lab Technician Cedar Park, TX 78613 $3,200 a week - Travel healthcare, Full-time, Contract $3,200 a week - Travel healthcare, Full-time, Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technician to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cardiac catheterization laboratory, ensuring precise operation of medical equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in cardiology, physiology, and medical technology, contributing to accurate diagnostics and effective treatment planning.

Travel Pay:
~$3,200/week Responsibilities Prepare the cath lab for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile, functional, and ready for use. Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiography, stent placements, and other minimally invasive interventions. Operate advanced medical imaging systems such as Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to capture, store, and retrieve diagnostic images. Monitor patient vital signs continuously during procedures, maintaining physiological stability and reporting any abnormalities promptly. Maintain strict aseptic technique to prevent infections and ensure patient safety throughout all procedures. Conduct diagnostic evaluations by performing sonography and other imaging modalities as required. Support post-procedure patient care by observing recovery, documenting findings, and communicating with the healthcare team. Skills Extensive knowledge of interventional radiology procedures and cardiac catheterization techniques. Experience with telemetry monitoring systems for continuous cardiac rhythm observation. Proficiency in conducting cardiac stress tests and understanding their diagnostic significance. Strong background in cardiology principles coupled with physiology knowledge for accurate assessment. Familiarity with medical terminology pertinent to cardiovascular medicine. Skilled in operating complex medical equipment including imaging devices, catheters, and hemodynamic monitoring tools. Ability to utilize Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) effectively for image management. Knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures and emergency medicine protocols within a Level I Trauma Center setting. Experience working in high-pressure environments such as Level II Trauma Centers or emergency departments is advantageous. Excellent understanding of anatomy relevant to cardiovascular interventions. Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations accurately using sonography techniques. CA02
