Education:
Have earned a minimum of an associate degree or 2 years of work experience (2 years of experience preferred but not required). Graduate of an accredited RCIS related Technical or Associate?s degree program preferred.Experience:
2 years Cath, EP, or Vascular experience preferred but not requiredLicensure/Credential:
Must Hold a Radiography or a imaging credential: ARRT-R American Registry of Radiologic Tech and MRT through TX Medical Board or RCIS (Reg Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) preferred.Cases:
Coronary- Cardiac catheterization, PCI, Impella/IABP, Vascular
- Peripheral angiogram and intervention, thrombectomy, EP
- Ablation (afib, flutter, SVT, VOM), device placement (pacemaker, defibrillator, CCM, loop recorder).
On-Call:
STEMI call required, approximately 7- 8 days of call per month including one weekend.
Schedule:
Full-time 4 days a week- 10-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday 6:00am
- 4:30pm, Holidays and night call coverage for emergent Procedures.

Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level Job Summary The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under general supervision, helps Physicians during catheterization and electrophysiology lab procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient's condition, and provides routine and emergency care during procedures. Contributes to the orientation and training of other team members. Help with daily, monthly, and quarterly quality control initiatives through auditing and reporting. Essential Functions of the Role Help physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, implantable cardiac defibrillators, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral, and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy. Follows national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff. Provides emergency procedures like CPR and defibrillation as needed. Perform pre- and post-procedure care and monitoring.
- associate's degree in a related field, or
- Completion of US military training program and experience equivalent to an associate's degree, or
- 2 years of related cardiovascular lab experience.
