Cardiac Technician Texas Children's Hospital - 4.1 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description We are searching for a Cardiac Technician - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform technical and clerical functions pertinent to the Cardiology ECG Lab. This includes performing appropriate tests, ensuring representative 24-hour Cardio scan analysis for physician interpretation, responding to STAT calls when necessary, and assisting the Cardiology Fellow and/or Exercise Physiologist in the Exercise Lab. All duties are performed in a manner developmentally appropriate for the ages of patients served (neonate to adult) including both inpatients and outpatients. Think you've got what it takes?
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required BLS certification preferred 1 year experience as an ECG technician preferred
Responsibilities:
Perform 15-lead electrocardiograms (including Rhythm Strips, Atrial ECG's, and Esophageal ECG's, and Cardioscan Monitor placement for both inpatients and outpatients Perform appropriate tests as ordered by physician Place charge and/or credits with appropriate documentation Performs 24-hour Cardioscan Analysis Operate MUSE System Take call and attends staff meetings Assist with care of Laboratory equipment Care for one or more of the following age groups routinely: Neonates, Infants, Toddler, Preschool Age, School Age, Adolescent, and Adult Complete service item charge form for each ECG, Cardioscan, or Exercise Test performed and place in appropriate box for the business office to pick up Distribute reports to ordering physicians outside of the Cardiology department within 24 hours of physician interpretation Perform data acquisition process from ECG carts to MUSE System Clean patient care equipment that has no direct patient contact on a weekly basis
