The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience performing echocardiography testing. Advanced cardiac imaging experience:
Work across full-spectrum echocardiography modalities including TEE, stress, and Doppler, strengthening high-level clinical and diagnostic expertise. Make a direct clinical impact at a top cancer center: Play a key role in critical cardiac assessment , real-time decision support, and quality-driven patient care at a world-renowned institution.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Performs all modalities of echocardiography: Echocardiographic assessment: 2D, M-Mode, Color flow, and continuous wave doppler, Stress echocardiography, Pharmacological stress echocardiography, Transesophageal echocardiograms. Must be able to analyze the patient's clinical history, identify the purpose of the examination, and expand the examination as necessary to answer the clinical questions. Performs quantitative analysis of Echocardiographic studies: Analysis includes: systolic function (ejection fraction and wall motion analysis), diastolic function, pulmonary pressure, hemodynamic assessment, assessment of valvular abnormalities, changes in gradients, and critical values.
Equipment maintenance:
Prepares equipment for procedures to be performed. Cleans and disinfects equipment following patient use. Maintains equipment cleaning logs.
Quality assurance:
Participates in the collection and documentation of quality assurance information. Reports critical values immediately once identified. Perform high-level disinfection of TEE probes: Participates in the disinfection of TEE probes according to vendor recommendations.
EDUCATION
Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred:
Graduation from an accredited cardiac sonography program.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required:
2 years of experience performing echocardiography testing. or
Required:
With preferred degree, no experience required.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
CPR
  • Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation Upon Hire and Required:
    RDCS
  • Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
Upon Hire or Required:
RCS
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
