Job Description

US Heart and Vascular is in need of a Full Time Cardiac Exercise Technician to join our team at Memorial Katy Cardiology Associates, in Houston, TX.
Responsibilities:
Explains testing procedures to patients and obtains consent form. Attaches electrodes to patient's arms, legs, and chest area. Places IV for patient exam. Starts electrocardiograph and records vitals data. Informs the technologist of wave abnormalities on electrocardiogram. Lends support to Advanced Practitioner and Nuclear Medicine Technologist during critical care events. Creates PDF of completed EKG exam. Uploads exam to patient chart and PACS system. Documents patient vitals for final report. Cleans, adjusts, and performs routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning. Maintains accurate inventory of materials and supplies. Verifies patient appointments the day before, confirms appointment time and location. Assists in the training of new personnel. Assists in notifying patients of special instructions prior to testing, Assists in maintaining department volume and productivity through schedule management. Escorts patients to check-out. Performs all other duties as required.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Current CPR certification Must have reliable transportation. Prior IV or Cardiac experience preferred but not required.
