Category Imaging - Cath Lab Tech Job Type Contract Step into a specialized healthcare environment, delivering crucial patient care and technical expertise as a Cath Lab Tech. This contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting cardiovascular procedures and collaborating closely with physicians and clinical staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current certification as a Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS preferred or equivalent credential) Previous experience working in a Cath Lab or similar imaging environment Knowledgeable in cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and sterile technique Proficient in operating imaging and monitoring equipment in a fast-paced setting Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of the medical team Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications Excellent interpersonal communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with the healthcare team and positive patient interactions
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures Prepare, operate, and maintain imaging and monitoring equipment for patient procedures Accurately document all details related to procedures, patient status, and administered medications Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and HIPAA standards Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, identifying and communicating any significant changes in condition Provide technical support for a variety of cardiac procedures Ensure all supplies and instruments are properly sterilized and organized for safe, efficient workflow This opportunity offers a collaborative work environment dedicated to excellent patient outcomes and the latest in imaging technology.
