NONE (paid holidays) Primary Responsibilities include: Provides high quality imaging using various modalities including endovascular angiography examination.
Patient Assessment:
Collaborates with team to collect data pre
- and post-procedure, and prepares patients for procedures in CVIR.
Equipment Operation and Maintenance. Safely and competently operates all radiographic, processing and inventory equipment in CVIR. Patient Advocate. Acts as a liaison between physician, family, and other interdepartmental units. Utilization of Resources. As part of the CVIR team, utilizes the lab efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have experience in Body IR, and Peripheral Vascular to include scrub, monitoring, and circulating. Job Responsibilities Demonstrates competency in all imaging modalities in CVIR including IVUS. Demonstrates an advanced knowledge of sterile technique, assists and supports interventional radiologist during procedures. Anticipates procedure flow in the department and initiates timely room turnover. Interacts with nursing and support staff in ensure a high quality of care in CVIR. Obtains all pertinent information pre-procedure. Assists RN to accurately explain procedures to patients and family to ease anxiety. Anticipates procedure flow and works with other team members to produce the highest quality care. Immediately recognizes adverse clinical situations and helps other personnel to do so. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of equipment and shares information with peers. Troubleshoots equipment effectively and places service calls to Biomedical when necessary. Is proficient and knowledgeable of all inventory in CVIR and is cost-effective at all times. Provides safe environment and identifies hazards immediately. Follows the unit protocol to take corrective action. Initiates and follows proper channel of communication for problem-solving. Notifies manager of potential safety hazards. Follows through on all corrective decisions. Extends additional support as required to patient, family members and other staff. Accurately implements computer orders for all Interventional Radiology functions. Effectively utilizes Inventory Management system. Additional Requirements 1-3 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology and/or Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist preferred. Certified Surgical Tech or equivalent experience as a Surgical Tech. BLS certification from the American Heart Association ACLS certification from the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire Effective verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, and knowledge of sterile technique.
