1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Echo Technologist with RCS or RDCS certification for a 13-week travel assignment in a hospital setting, performing adult echocardiographic exams including stress and TEE. Details Inpatient hospital setting performing diagnostic cardiac ultrasound studies Primary focus on adult echocardiography with potential exposure to some pediatric cases Procedures include M-mode, 2D/3D Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and stress echocardiography Shift is Monday through Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM On-call weekend rotation approximately every 7 weeks Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program required; education verification required for consideration Current BLS certification required RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) through CCI or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) required Active state license required if applicable Experience performing adult Echo, Stress Echo, and TEE required Ability to recognize arrhythmias and EKG abnormalities (e.g., acute MI, complete heart block, wide QRS, tachycardia) Additional Information Perform and interpret echocardiographic examinations using clinical judgment to determine the need for additional testing protocols Measure per ASE standards and provide technical comments of diagnostic findings to the physician upon completion of each study Assess electrocardiographic and echocardiography recording quality, correcting deficiencies when possible and documenting when not Respond appropriately in emergency situations and notify physicians of abnormal EKG findings Document complete patient history, procedural information, and charges in the medical record with 98% accuracy Educate patients and families about procedures and document the process in the patient record Responsible for maintaining equipment and workspace in proper working condition and reporting equipment issues to managementSimilar jobs in Janesville, WI
