Job Description

We are seeking for a dedicated and organized Resident Care Coordinator / Staffing Coordinator to oversee care staff scheduling, coordinate resident care services, and assist with the development and maintenance of resident service plans. This leadership position plays a vital role in ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance, and appropriate staffing coverage throughout the community. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and has experience working with assisted living, memory care, or long-term care residents. Essential Responsibilities Staffing & Scheduling Create and maintain staff schedules for caregivers and medication technicians. Manage schedule changes, call-offs, and shift coverage. Coordinate staffing to ensure adequate coverage and compliance with staffing requirements. Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to staffing emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed. Assist with orientation scheduling and staffing-related documentation. Resident Care Coordination Coordinate resident assessments and care services. Assist with developing, updating, and maintaining resident service plans/care plans. Monitor changes in resident conditions and communicate concerns to nursing and management. Collaborate with caregivers, medication technicians, families, healthcare providers, and community departments to ensure resident needs are met. Assist with resident move-ins, service plan reviews, and care conferences. Support quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance. Leadership & Administrative Duties Provide guidance and support to direct care staff. Conduct routine audits of resident documentation and care records. Assist with staff coaching, training, and performance improvement. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all community policies and state regulations. Participate in management meetings and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or Skilled Nursing preferred. Previous scheduling experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of resident care planning and healthcare documentation. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work independently. Proficient with Microsoft Office and scheduling software. CNA, Caregiver Certification, LPN, or related healthcare experience preferred. Schedule & Requirements Full-Time Monday-Friday Mandatory On-Call Participation Must be able to respond to after-hours staffing and resident care concerns when needed.
