The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping patients understand and move forward with their dental care. As the Treatment Coordinator, you will serve as a key liaison between patients, providers, and the administrative team, ensuring a seamless experience from diagnosis through treatment completion. Responsibilities-Treatment Presentation & Case Acceptance Review diagnosed treatment plans with patients in a clear, professional, and compassionate manner. Educate patients on recommended procedures, benefits, and treatment timelines. Answer questions regarding treatment recommendations and financial arrangements. Help patients overcome barriers to treatment and improve case acceptance rates. Follow up with unscheduled treatment and outstanding treatment plans. Financial Coordination Verify insurance benefits and estimate patient portions accurately. Present financial options and payment arrangements. Assist patients with financing applications and payment plans. Review treatment estimates and obtain necessary authorizations. Collect deposits and payments according to office policies. Scheduling & Patient Management Schedule treatment appointments efficiently while maximizing provider productivity. Coordinate complex and multi-visit treatment plans. Monitor treatment completion and ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate patient records and treatment tracking systems. Contact patients regarding pending treatment, recalls, and follow-up care. Insurance Coordination Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Submit pre-authorizations when necessary. Review insurance breakdowns and explain coverage limitations to patients. Work closely with the billing team to ensure accurate treatment estimates. Customer Service & Team Support Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families. Build trust and strong relationships with patients. Assist in resolving patient concerns professionally and promptly. Communicate effectively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and front office team members. Participate in daily huddles and team meetings. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dental office experience preferred. Previous Treatment Coordinator experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance processes. Experience with Dentrix Ascend or similar dental practice management software. Strong communication, sales, and relationship-building skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Ability to work independently while contributing to team success. Preferred Qualities Strong case presentation skills. Ability to build rapport and gain patient trust. Goal-oriented mindset with a focus on patient care and treatment acceptance. Detail-oriented with strong follow-through. Comfortable discussing finances and insurance benefits.
