In this key role, you will guide patients through their periodontal and implant treatment journey, serving as the primary liaison between patients, doctors, and the clinical team. You will help patients understand recommended care, navigate insurance and financial arrangements, and ensure a seamless experience from consultation through treatment completion. The ideal candidate is confident discussing treatment, excels at building patient relationships, and is committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting practice growth and case acceptance. Key Responsibilities Welcome patients and create a warm, professional, and supportive environment Assist with presenting periodontal and dental implant treatment recommendations with clarity and confidence Educate patients on treatment options, benefits, timelines, and expected outcomes Coordinate scheduling for consultations, surgical procedures, follow-up visits, and maintenance appointments Verify insurance benefits and assist patients in understanding coverage and financial responsibilities Post insurance payments accurately and reconcile payment activity Assist with accounts receivable follow-up, including outstanding patient and insurance balances Monitor insurance aging reports and support A/R management Prepare and maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, billing, and financial documentation Monitor unscheduled treatment and proactively follow up with patients regarding outstanding care recommendations Facilitate financial arrangements and payment options to help patients move forward with treatment Communicate effectively with referring dental offices and maintain strong professional relationships Collaborate closely with doctors and clinical team members to ensure outstanding continuity of care Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Treatment Coordinator, Patient Care Coordinator, or similar dental office role preferred Experience in a periodontal, oral surgery, implant, or specialty dental practice is highly desirable Knowledge of dental insurance, treatment planning, scheduling, billing, and financial coordination A/R experience, including insurance aging reports and patient balance follow-up, preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced specialty practice environment Proficiency with dental practice management software and electronic patient records Bilingual skills are a plus Positive attitude, professionalism, and a commitment to exceptional patient care Why Join Perio Specialist?
