Part-time / Monday through Friday / AM to MID shift

Bridges Professional Treatment Services is a well-established, highly regarded treatment provider in the Sacramento area. Bridges offers a variety of treatment options that accommodate all levels of need and a full continuum of care. Our specialized programs include Substance Abuse Counseling, Case Management and Collaboration with Dependency Drug Courts and CPS, Outpatient Treatment, Sober Living, DUI Education and Drug Diversion Programs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the Playcare Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the Program Director/Site Manager, include but are not limited to: Maintain constant attention to the safety of the children and their environment. Be responsible for the total care of all children during the assigned shift. Remain alert to physical and/or emotional changes in infants or children indicating the onset of illness. Assure all child care needs are met, including but not limited to preparing meals and bottles, diaper changes, feeding, one-on-one interaction, etc. Observe infants and children for drowsiness, need to rest, and to be changed. Support children during the transition to and from activities, napping, meals, etc Ensure nutritious snacks are prepared and served. Implement developmentally and age-appropriate activities. Instruct children individually and in small groups, and supervise play and learning activities in the inside and outside play area. Administration of positive discipline and setting of limits for behavior, abiding by program and agency policies and standards. Immediately communicate any unusual situations to the Supervisor and/or Program Manager and support any problem-solving plans. Review and complete written documentation per program requirements, and in compliance with Play Care policy. Constantly monitor and maintain the cleanliness and safety of the interior and exterior of the play care area. Remain aware of the overall duties that need to be completed for the co-op parent requirements and provide work direction, ongoing feedback, and problem-solving for participants. Maintain the co-op participant schedule for weekly parent participation. Ability to get along and work effectively with others. Regular, predictable attendance is required. Other duties may be assigned at any time via verbal or written instructions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Must have proof of a high school diploma or equivalent; Six months or more of work experience in a licensed group home, licensed infant care center, or comparable licensed group childcare program is preferred. Previous experience working with infants and children up to age 5 is preferred. 12 CEU credits from a credited educational system is required.
