Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Care Coordinator to join our team. As a patient-facing team member, you will work alongside healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and customer service. You will perform your administrative front office tasks to ensure a professional and positive clinic experience for our patients. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting medical specialists within our occupational medicine clinics. Your responsibilities will include managing scheduling, preparing patient charts, obtaining necessary authorizations, and providing direct medical support to ensure efficient clinic operations. This position supports all parts of the clinic as directed by management and is not limited to Specialty Care. You will work closely with a team of medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and medical assistants, to provide high-quality care to our patients.
Compensation:
Starting compensation range is $21.00
  • 24.00 hourly. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Responsibilities Responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of a patient
  • including, but not limited to
  • specialist care, such as direct support during appointments, preparation before and after appointments, and coordinating any necessary follow-up care.
Acts as liaison between the specialist provider, center staff, payors, employers and patients. Answering phone calls in a professional manner and responding to patient inquiries. Assist with scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and chart prep. Process referrals, Coordinate and schedule authorized treatment referrals to internal and external providers. Greet and receive walk-in patients/visitors in the reception area, gather crucial information in connection with their needs. Performs clerical administrative duties as needed to expedite day-to-day operations and office functions. Assigned by direct manager and or administrative managers as needed. Collaborates with RFM Call Center and to resolve issues with pending authorizations. Maintain effective and positive customer service engagement with internal and external customers at assigned clinics. Work closely with patients to provide high-quality care and ensure their satisfaction with our services at assigned clinics. Assisting with medical procedures as needed. Follow company policies, procedures, and directives. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2+ years of reception experience is required. BLS certification. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to maintain logs and reports. Ability to travel between clinics within market as needed. An orientation to customer service and ability to work in a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task and handle competing priorities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Knowledge of Occupational Medicine referral standards preferred.
