Job Description

Job Overview Green Insurance Agency is seeking a dependable and compassionate Administrative Assistant to join our growing team in Orange Park. This is a full-time, in-office client service position. The person in this role will help existing clients, support the agency owner and team, and assist with the day-to-day operation of the office. A large part of the position involves helping clients understand and resolve billing, policy and coverage-related concerns. The right person will be patient, organized, comfortable on the phone and willing to follow an issue through until it is resolved. This is not a sales position. We are looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes ownership of their work and can provide a calm, professional experience to clients who may feel confused or overwhelmed.
Salary Range:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Benefits Annual Base Salary Based on Experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Hands on Training Mon-Fri Schedule Retirement Plan Career Growth Opportunities Requirements This position is best suited for someone with strong customer service skills who genuinely enjoys helping people. You should be patient, dependable and able to communicate calmly with seniors, family members and professionals, even when someone is confused, frustrated or worried. Administrative experience is preferred, although insurance experience is not required. Experience in healthcare, medical billing, pharmacy, banking, claims, customer service or another role involving detailed problem-solving and follow-up would transfer well to this position. We are looking for someone who: Is organized and able to manage several open issues at once Documents conversations accurately and follows through without repeated reminders Is comfortable making phone calls and handling difficult conversations Can work independently while contributing to a team Is comfortable learning new technology; experience with tools such as a CRM, RingCentral, Google Workspace, Slack and DocuSign is helpful, but not required Is dependable, trustworthy and respectful of confidential information Above all, we are looking for someone who is compassionate, takes responsibility for their work and wants to help people get the answers they need. Responsibilities In this role, you will help support our clients, agency owner and team with the day-to-day administrative and service needs of the office. Much of your time will be spent helping existing clients with billing, policy service, prescription and coverage-related concerns. That may involve speaking with insurance carriers, pharmacies, medical offices, clients and family members to understand what happened and determine the next step. Some issues can be resolved quickly, while others require patience, research and several follow-up calls. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of those situations, document the work clearly and stay involved until the client has an answer or the matter has been appropriately escalated.
