Job Summary The Resident Care Coordinator (RCC) ensures quality care and services for all residents while supporting and leading the care team. This role collaborates closely with department heads to promote continuity of care and compliance with resident service plans. The ideal candidate will be an organized, compassionate leader who values teamwork, clear communication, and excellence in senior care. Key Responsibilities Serve as a brand and culture ambassador for Arbor Village at Hillcrest, exemplifying our mission and values. Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly care coordination checklists. Maintain and update Resident Assistant task lists and ensure accurate service planning documentation. Lead and participate in service plan meetings; communicate changes effectively with residents, families, and staff. Manage and monitor incontinence supplies, medical equipment, and home health/hospice coordination . Support compliance through audits, incident tracking, and reporting . Maintain documentation and records, including budgets and staffing levels. Provide supervision, training, and evaluations for Resident Assistants and Medication Assistants. Assist with recruitment, orientation, and staff development to ensure adequate and qualified staffing levels. Promote and ensure resident safety, confidentiality, and compliance with all community policies and regulations. Occasionally fill in as a Medication Assistant or Resident Assistant , as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare, nursing, or senior living preferred. Previous experience in supervising, training, or mentoring staff in a senior care or healthcare setting. Experience with medication administration and caregiving in a senior living environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and care management software. Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Compassion for and commitment to serving the elderly population. Must be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently. Certifications & Requirements Current CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain). Criminal background check clearance. Physical & Work Environment Ability to lift or assist residents weighing up to 100 lbs when necessary. Regular standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting required. Moderate noise level; fast-paced, team-oriented environment typical of senior living communities. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur; proper training and equipment provided.
