Charter Senior Living of Dartmouth is seeking a compassionate and energetic Memory Care Coordinator / Life Enrichment Coordinator / Activities Director to join our memory care team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia while creating engaging and purposeful daily experiences. As a Memory Care Coordinator, you will help bring Charter Senior Living's Flourish Memory Care philosophy to life by leading dementia-specific engagement programs and supporting person-centered care throughout the memory care neighborhood.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Memory Care Coordinator (also known as a Life Enrichment Coordinator or Activities Director in Memory Care) champions Charter Senior Living's Flourish Memory Care philosophy and embodies our mission of enhancing the human spirit. This role supports the daily delivery of dementia-specific engagement programs and helps promote person-centered care throughout the memory care neighborhood. The Memory Care Coordinator works under the direction of the Memory Care Director and focuses on program execution and resident engagement. This is a non-supervisory role focused on leading activities and supporting engagement, not program design or staff management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote the Flourish Memory Care philosophy and maintain program standards Lead 5-9 daily engagement programs , including group, individual, sensory, and themed activities Support structured neighborhood routines and engagement during meals and transition times Assist with event preparation, activity calendars, and gathering materials or supplies Encourage resident participation in meaningful and personalized activities Promote engagement among care associates by modeling activities and dementia care approaches Support the implementation of Flourish engagement domains including: Motion and Movement Knowledge and Learning Motivation and Creation Community and Connection Harmony and Introspection Intention and Commitment Exploration and Adventure Perform additional duties as assigned by the Memory Care Director

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 2 years of experience working with individuals living with dementia in programming, life enrichment, or engagement roles Associate degree required or equivalent experience in senior living Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Social Work, Human Development, Psychology, Gerontology, or related field preferred Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) , Activity Director Certification, or related credentials preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills Compassionate approach to working with individuals living with dementia
